ZNICK got their new banner ad by running a design contest:
Banner for Website & Blog Top
Check out ZNICK's Banner ad contest…
I need a banner/logo for a blog & website that will sell a "how-to" product teaching people to buy a house without a credit check or new mortgage. I do NOT want it to look like a Realtor site. Also, read the posts below, I've added a lot of ideas.
Logo/Icon at www.1ezsale.com (the smiling house)
What's your vision?
Tagline: No Banks Needed Home Buying System Desired Color Scheme: Anything but a black background. Desired Style: Professional, but relaxed and comforting. Accepted File Formats: Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff) I need a banner that will be used on a static site, as well as a Wordpress blog. If I could get it in code that would be great, but it is not required. (Wordpress doesn't need HTML from what I'm told) The header must be 600-800 pixels wide, and the height is a bit flexible, as long as not unusually tall. We are flexible about the colors at this point. We do not want something "psychedelic", or too loud, although "bright" colors are ok. It should be professional, yet can be casual. We want it to entice a user to purchase an information product, so it should help them trust the seller, as well as portray a positive light on the company and be inviting. It should include the icon/logo found here: http://www.1ezsale.com/ . (the happy house with the eyes and smile) You can change the colors of the background as well as house outline. I feel leaving the smile and eyes black will work the best, although we will consider changing it if needed. That image (the house/icon) will be on the CD sleeves, manual, and packaging as well. It "brands" the product. If you give me something better than the smiling house we can use it, but we like the house as our "brand" right now. It should have the words "No Banks Needed - Home Buying Systems" in it. "No Banks Needed" should be a bit different and more prevalent than "Home Buying Systems". We do "not" just want the text across the entire banner without some graphics as well. Originally we were going to use "Not My Mortgage - Home Buying Secrets", but our Google test showed "No Banks Needed" to be more responsive. If you already submitted one with "Not My Mortgage", do NOT change it. If we choose your design we can edit it easy enough later. (I dont want you to work harder than needed and can visualize the difference) Ideas for graphics can be one or a combination of a house-key going into a lock, a hand opening a door to a house, an image of a house, (either drawn or a photograph) a smiling person or couple walking to a house, or something you come up with on your own. We love originality, and will consider anything. The graphic should show that someone/some family just got a home of their own, and are overjoyed. We will be teaching "renters" to get into their own home using techniques investors use to get into a home without a mortgage, credit check, or employment verification. The winner will likely be asked and paid to make modifications in the future. Â
