Santana Saunders, originally from the midwest, is a Florida-based author of fantasy and thriller novels. When she isn't reading or writing stories, she is playing at the beach with her husband and three daughters or taking on a DIY home project that will surely take weeks longer than anticipated.

Religion is abolished and the apocalypse is approaching. Leora must use her gift to recruit members of the new society, but some are not as they seem.

Target audience: 18-40 years old, mostly women. The story begins in Florida (beach vibes, palm trees) and ends in the Appalachian Mts. (Maple and Oak trees). The main character always wears a dainty necklace with a gold chain and one pearl.

I love covers that are heavy in Topography. The story starts with the beach/palm trees but it ends in the mountains, maple and oak trees. I would love to see the title within some palms and oak or maple leaves. The Pearl could be shining out from some of the foliage. Keep in mind it is an apocalyptic story. My main character is a strong heroine but she is still feminine. I like when it appears three dimensional (Example, The Inheritance Games cover in attached files) I like the idea of little gold glowing "lights" (Example, Serpent & Dove in attached files). Paperback Cover size is 5.25X8.

I don't like actual people/characters on the cover.
