"A compelling, emotionally gripping read."--Booklist "LOVED this book! It has something for everyone: suspense, excitement, an unlikely new friend, a beautiful relationship between a girl and her grandmother, danger, a dog, family, and a whole lot of heart."--Miriam Franklin, author of Extraordinary
Young readers ages 8-13, especially girls, but boys as well. Readers who love dogs, family/friendship centered, emotionally powerful stories.
Book cover type
A cover that will appeal to young readers, especially girls. It's a serious story, but I don't want a depressing cover. It needs to be hopeful and appealing. Important plot elements that might be used on the cover--the main character is a 12 year-old girl, a German shepherd, a male police detective, set in Spokane, Washington. I'll consider both illustrated as well as photographic covers. This is the first of two books, so I'll likely be needing a second, similar type of cover in the next six months or so.
What to avoid
Nothing too dark or depressing. Surprise me!

It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
peachyy collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
This is the second book cover contest I've run on 99Designs and enjoyed both of them thoroughly! It's amazing to see all the talent, and so fun to see the various ways the designers can bring a story to life. Darmadsgn was very easy to work with, prompt and did a great job depicting my story characters the way I see them!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
