This needs to be a best in class cover capable of competing with NYT best sellers in the genre. This is the first book in the series so it must have strong branding that you can match with subsequent books in the series while also making each book something new, not just a cut and paste of the first. Something like these covers that clearly indicate that this is epic fantasy with a male protag, dwarves, swords, dragons in medieval times etc. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C79YGGN https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thinblade-Sovereign-Seven-Isles-Book-ebook/dp/B005563J7A https://www.amazon.co.uk/Steven-Erikson/e/B000APIXTU
What to avoid
Nothing cute or funny. Avoid cliche stock imagery that is already used elsewhere. Nothing overtly sexual. This is serious epic fantasy that must appeal to male and female readers alike. No photos of real faces. This should be artwork, not a photograph of anything.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Book cover starts at £239.

The design was strong from the start with a great colour scheme and a strong match for the book and genre. The designer was quick to make changes as required and the end result won several polls of both readers and writers. Thanks for all the hard work!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
