A Better Way To Win
Mike Amato has 40 years of experience in the financial world, starting from answering the phone and working his way into a global executive role and director on the boards of established and start-up banks. Today, Mike is a sought after keynote speaker on the topics of corporate culture and putting people over profits. In addition, Mike is an executive coach and mentor, as well as owning and operating a world-class winery in Washington state. Mike's super-power is his ability to galvanize large teams to a common cause, driving unusually high employee engagement and advocacy.
Mike Amato is a former international executive in the financial world that lead a stunning cultural transformation, taking an organization of 30,000 employees that had lost it's way, rocked in scandal, to best-in-class performance. The sub-title of the book is 'How to overcome the toxic effect of putting profits over people' and in the book, he illustrates how greater profitability awaits those that prioritize a new P&L: People and Leadership.
This book is written for those at the top of organizations who are interested in understanding the ROI of a healthy, functional ecosystem. It’s also written for all of you who may feel stifled, underprepared, or under appreciated by your organization. There is a better way to win. And I will prove it.
Book cover type
I'm open. From minimalistic (letters on a cyan blue, black or white background) to a creative image that captures the emotion of the topic would be considered. I don't want the mood to be bright and yelling, but I would love for it to evoke passion as focus groups feel deeply about the growing disconnect between management and workers. Major theme of course is the paradox that putting people (customers and employees) over profits drives higher profits. Elegance would be highly desired.
