The First-Time Father's Handbook
Cal Pater is a father, husband, and author who has experienced both the pains and joys of fatherhood. Cal and his wife loss their second daughter due to premature birth and now his wife is pregnant again. With her being high risk Cal has researched everything and talked to everyone he could about pregnancy and now wants to share his story and knowledge. Educating and leading other men to become amazing fathers and partners is his passion, and his books are his platform.
First-time fathers handbook is a week by week guide to pregnancy and early fatherhood. It covers everything from the baby's growth, partners experience, and what dad can do to help. The book spans from day one to one month after the baby is born. The tone is light and humorous but the book is extremely informative and psychologically enlightening. It is meant to prepare men for fatherhood and strengthen the bond between them and their partner.
Men 25-35 years old They live with their partner, the majority are renters and don't own their own homes Middle class earners, many of whom are still paying off student debt from college. They are relatively stable financially but worry about unexpected emergencies or costs, and don't have a huge amount of savings Most have a college degree and about 70% of them are working in a sector that is relevant to what they studied in college. They work a typical 9-5 job that requires them to do some work at home They enjoy leisure activities like sports and cooking in their free time, but often find it difficult to strike a solid work-life balance. They want to be able to prioritize their personal life and relationship without compromising their work. Most of them are the primary earners in their household, with about 30% making the same or less than their partner They value time with family and friends, independence, and confidence in their ability to provide for their family. They want to feel secure financially and socially and strive to do it all.
