antonio.amanda got their new book cover by running a design contest:
Create a Book Cover for a Hiking Gear Guide
Check out antonio.amanda's Book cover contest…
The Beginner's Guide To Hiking Gear
The book is an equipment guide for people who are complete beginners to hiking.
Anyone who wants to get into hiking.
1. We are looking at creating a series of guides. So we would like this first book to be the template for others to come. Anyone who sees the book cover should know it's an guidebook from The Adventure Junkies, so branding is very important. 2. We would like a "guidebook feel", like LonelyPlanet or RoughGuides. 3. It needs to be brand focused (i.e. The Adventure Junkies). 4. The colors should be Black (#000000), White (#FFFFFF) and Green (#679A41). 5. The Adventure Junkies logo needs to be on the cover (see the files attached) 6. It should have a picture of hiking gear 7. The text should be all white. 8. The subtitle should be displayed in 2 lines only.
What to avoid
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
antonio.amanda collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Avanska is incredibly quick and responsive as well as creative and helpful. I recommend Avanska to anyone wanting a great design and great designer to collaborate with!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
