Art & Design
This book targets the readers who like fantasy books with political intrigue, such as the Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones.
What's your vision?
I'd like a print and e-book cover, so both front and back covers are required. The front (the ebook cover) should have the following dimension. Dimension/ width:height => 1:1.6 • For best quality, your image would be 2820 pixels on the shortest side and 4500 pixels on the longest side Title: Neripha(series name) The Blood Moon Trial(book 1) Author: Olivia Ratcliff The cover art is going to be the face of a powerful empress. She's a proclaimed demigoddess of her empire. She has tattoos from the both sides of her neck all the way to her forehead, leaving a strip of her untouched skin from the tip of her nose and around her mouth to the center of her neck. You can get an idea from the attached picture( woman's face). I want something similar to it where the tattoos are abstract and look like curtains emerging from the background, shrouding her face(her face doesn't need to appear tattooed per se). The tattoos should consist of tiny images of soldiers. I'm expecting the effect similar to the image with lots of hands where you don't notice the hands until you look at it closely. So the expected effect should be a combination of the woman's face and the screaming man's face, except instead of having the butterfly wings on her face like the image I provided, it should have soldiers, which from far away should look beautiful and abstract. The image shouldn't look like a photo. It should appear more hand-drawn... With this image I'm going for a Surreal Majestic Mythical kind of mood.. I have 2 suggestions. 1. you can do the realistic one with colors of your choosing(whatever you think makes this woman appear most majestic) OR 2. you can simplify the image greatly like the attached Cheshire Cat image. You can have the eyes of the empress and the tattoos of tiny men (or a veil emerging from behind her face) on a black backdrop with glowing red lines. It should be more symbolic, but shouldn't fail to look like a woman's face. You can do whichever option you think will create the most impactful image. I'd like to emphasize that 1. the "tattoos" should be more like veils or curtains or a layer of light coming from the background on her face (I'm going for that abstract effect) 2. It shouldn't look too photo-y I'd like a natural, hand-drawn look. You can play around with the colors. Whatever grabs my attention will get the prize! ********************************************************************************************************* Sorry, I will make this clear, because some designers seem confused. I'd like to see something like the attached image of the woman's face. The face of Hands (screaming man) is not what it should look like overall. I was just talking about the little components of the whole image (hands making up the face), but you can forget about it. I'm NOT going for a SCARY face of a woman.
Is it possible for me to add a back cover story later? I'd very much like it if I had the flexibility to add a back cover story later on my own. If else, please let me know. Thank you.
