For this book, currently being sold as an ebook in pdf, I'm using a plain and uncreative cover. It served the purpose when I first put if out. Now that I want to go to print in soft cover, I want something that is more attractive to women in the 40-55 age group.
The cover needs to be strong and shout inspiration and motivation. Sometimes when people do things about women, they think it's soft and sweet. For example, someone once did a drawing for a workshop promo and she had a women at the beach in a flimsy summer dress dipping her toes, oh-so-hesitantly, in the water. There's nothing soft and sweet about victory - creating the life you love isn't for wimps. At the same time, I don't want the image to be the stereotypical power hungry "b". Women hate being portrayed that way and it defeats the purpose. I want the Victory by Design cover to imply that a woman has the strength, the courage and the "feminine power" to recreate and reinvent her life.
The cover should compliment the cover of first book but with more energy. The first book was a compilation of stories and "lessons learned" while this one is more like a workbook. The colors can include the brick red, gold, deep purple. See attached book cover.
