Girls Can Do That
Lisé loves our beautiful planet and the people on it. At heart she's a proud tree-hugging hippy. She looks forward to equality for all people regardless of their colour, shape, size or gender preference. Lisé believes the world would be boring without its brilliant and ever-changing diversity and underpins her writing with that mindset.
In a world where gender-stereotyping is front and centre of every girl’s life, this book seeks to show them the world of opportunity that is out there.
Aimed at children aged 4 and up and will be a picture book.
Book cover type
Other color requirements
I'd love the book to be playful and have a sense of humour in the illustrations so that will include the cover. I need the cover to show what the book is about. The text should be bold and fun. PLEASE NOTE - I'm hoping the cover illustrator will also do the internal illustrations, so original work is preferred. There is a central girl character and I'd like her to be not too girly and not too boyish - if that makes sense! The book will be 8.5"x 8.5" soft cover. Also I will have a person here in Australia create the final book in Adobe Indesign files for Amazon (KDP) and IngramSpark as they helped with my 5 previous books. Hoping that helps. I'd like the character for the book to be on the cover.
What to avoid
Please avoid pink! Go for bright colours, be bold, have fun.

And then… they selected a winner!
Vanessa created a design that captured the brief in a way that was better than anything I had imagined. Plus, being open to changes that I needed along the way made the whole process easy.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
