I'm a musician in a wedding band. I like to play computer games. Into synth wave music. Live in the south of the UK with my wife and daughter.
A private investigator and club doorman team up to discover why a group of assassins are murdering influencers for a health food company who are also the oldest people on the planet. The assassins are a group of humans who have been through a metamorphosis and come out as vampire like butterfly people. Set in London 15 years in the future.
British, male, (possibly female too) 18 to 40. Into sci-fi. Fans of Douglas Adams, Yahtzee Crowshaw, Terry Pratchett. Tired of conspiracy theorists spouting rubbish.
The book starts off more noir crime novel but goes into a sort of subtle sci-fi place where some side characters actually end up going into chrysalises and coming out as butterfly people. There's also an evil world controlling organisation. I really like simple designs that don't use necessarily use photographs. I'll upload some I like best. I had a thought of perhaps having a chrysalis hanging with a midnight neon city inside it. Maybe a bit cyberpunk / synthwavey? My wife said the book is a bit of a cross between blade runner and lock stock / snatch but with vampire / butterfly people. Butterflies might work on there somewhere? Moody but simple but the book is also supposed to be quite light hearted and funny so... sorry... I also like the idea of a main colour for the book maybe a dark green or burgundy as background of the main cover?! A bit like the way the dune cover I've uploaded uses brown or the boy with the tiger's heart uses black. Sorry I am bad at this.
What to avoid
I don't really like the use of photographs. Especially a main character photo as the focal point.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
cjpowellauthoh collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
