Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I am a physician, expert speaker, and new author who practices family medicine.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I am a physician who is writing a self help book. Title:" To ME I Thee Wed" Subtitle is in flux but for now is "Be your own 'better half :
Love, honor and cherish yourself forever after". or "Become your own better half: Feel Loved, honored and cherished within forever after" I am Playing on traditional values and wedding concepts and apply them to the individual. I would like a traditional feel to the design. Nongendered if possible but I think it may be more toward the female clientele. It is a self help book. I would like a gold wedding band locked on and centered on the M of ME.(I will include a previous mock up I didn't like as it looked too self published but I did like the font a little and the "M" wedding ring. This is not a novel so the title needs to be obvious. The back of the book should have an scrolled invitation on cream card stock that reads (there is also a word document with a similar read attached to brief)
<p class="MsoNormal">Your invitation to take the
vowel to unveil your best authentic self
You are cordially invited to attend the commitment process and ceremony to become my most loved, honored and cherished self
TIME: Now and forever
Locations: In my mind, body, and soul
After witnessing the vowels of commitment a celebration will occur now and forever
Hi Everyone! 6x9 inches. Maybe a play on something old, something borrowed, something blue.My Name as Author: Julia Bowlin, M.D. My picture on the back. I will need room on the back for a blurb. This is NOT a book about couples. SO NO COUPLES on the couple. It is about one's individual journey to uncovering the best that they can be and understanding one's individuality BEFORE becoming a couple.. I am using the cultural wedding concept in relation to individual growth. For example while "dating" uncovering the many aspect of self and losing the potential "facade" created while in public. While "enagaged"..becoming actively engaged in dreams and goals. When "marrying" oneself creating the vows and committment to the care, keeping of self and self care responsibility. It is about learning to love, honor, and trust, and cherish your authentic self. In the honeymoon taking time to be alone, get aquainted with oneself with the veil of social expecatation looming.
