Need a powerful and eye catching design for a book about guitar.

Steve Cabain has been a working semi-professional musician for many years. He’s been involved in a number of recording sessions and also writes music and teaches guitar locally. He lives on the South Coast of England with his wife and 3 children and lots of guitars.

Crucial Guitar Basics is essentially a primer. It is an introduction to key aspects of the guitar, such as it's make up, where to buy one and aspects of playing such as key chords and scales. It is NOT however a tuition book as such. It is a distilation of useful things to know based on over 40 years of playing the instrument. [The book has been formatted to fit 6x9 paper size]

This book is aimed at people starting out with the guitar. They may just have an interest at this point and want to learn more before they buy their first guitar or they may already have a guitar and be beginners. In some cases (likley to be fewer of these) they may already be reasonably proficient but want to learn more. This is not a tuition book however this is about the guitar and includes things that it is useful to know. Typically buyers are likley to be male and probably towards the younger end of the adult age range but I do not want the book cover to look 'young' I want it to be attractive to any adult. I'm also expecting this book to mainly be purchased by people in the UK and potentially the US.

Paperback

I'm interested in a white background with a red guitar as the image. I've provided a photo of the type of image (of the guitar, although this seems to have been cropped unfortunately) that I'm looking for. If it's possible to use this actual image and remove the background that would be good, providing it hasn't been totally cropped, but failing that something like this from a stock image would be fine. I like sans serif in terms of font. I've also included an example of a book cover by Guitar Head that is the type of thing I'm aiming for, however i don't just want it to be an exact copy of this. Again the image has been cropped but you can refer to Amazon for this book and others by Guitar Head for a steer.

I want a guitar on the front and this needs to be fairly prominent. I dieally want a red Strat type guitar but it should not have a logo on the headstock if possible i.e. not state Fender or any other brand. I'm mainly keen that the end result looks professional. The book cover should convey that this is a serious book about guitars that they can learn from but one which is light in tone.
