Saving A&E, The Toyota Way
Dr. Eashwarran Kohilathas
My name is Eashwarran Kohilathas. I am a medical doctor working for the NHS. I passionate about improving healthcare and society as a whole.
Healthcare is struggling and in need of immediate resuscitation. Working in A&E during the pandemic, I felt like my colleagues and I all knew that the healthcare system was broken, but worrying about it meant time not treating patients. Knowing that there was no way out, I went looking for answers. Fortunately though, I stumbled across a glimmer of hope, in the form of a well known Japanese automobile manufacturer. This book aims to provide answers to improve A&E in the UK by using Toyota Production System. I believe the NHS urgently needs a reformation and Toyota may be the answer. ***A&E is accident and emergency, another word for the emergency department *** NHS is the National Health Service in the UK ***I want the book cover to show, that healthcare is not working (dying) and the only thing that will help is Toyota.
I am looking for a reading book, not text book design Scientists. Those interested in managment. Healthcare workers.
