We sell and operate ultra-preventive primary care health centers on the campuses of employers with 500+ employees. The centers are staffed by physicians trained in functional medicine (a unique approach to managing health and reversing disease by first identifying and addressing the underlying cause of the disease). This is a more efficient and enlightened approach than the conventional method of rushing to medicate symptoms while leaving the causes unaddressed.

We are all told that disease is a natural and inevitable part of the aging process. As a result, people everywhere live passively with conditions that could be improved or reversed with the application of modern science and focused attention from a well-trained physician. We reject the notion that people are destined to live with chronic disease and believe in health as the body's natural state. We believe that health is achievable for everyone who uses our centers. We reject the idea that the highest calling of the medical profession is to manage or even to prevent disease. Rather, we believe that health is something we can create. Rather than leveraging the fear of pain, sickness and death to motivate change, we tap into the creative reservoirs of our patients to pursue the health that they want for themselves. We want people who interact with our brand to feel empowered, hopeful, energized, welcome, and relieved. Our organization is forward thinking, highly trained, holistic in orientation, and driven to teach and empower people to direct their own health. We offer a high-tech - high-touch experience to patients and a demonstrable return on investment to employers. CREATIVE SUGGESTIONS: THINGS TO AVOID: The caduceus (the snake and staff), EKG graphs (the squiggly line representing your heartbeat), and the valentine heart are all so commonly used in the context of health care that we would like to avoid them. USE WITH CAUTION: People with circular heads bounding into the air and the medical cross. If you use either, please be original in the way you present them. Other suggestions: The leaf is commonly associated with natural/alternative medicine. We value and integrate natural and lifestyle medicine in our approach to optimizing health. However, our only bias is to provide the right intervention for the individual patient at the right time. We don't want to be mistaken for an organization that rejects western medicine or modern technology. Nature themes that may work well for our company would include concepts that incorporate the roots of a plant or tree as we focus our efforts on finding and correcting the root cause of disease. Avoiding cliches, apples commonly symbolize wellness and health. Concepts that would work very well for us include: personalized medicine, genetics, the concepts related to the the individualization of health. Other concepts that we embrace include the effects of culture and social connections on health. People tend to embrace the lifestyles of those around them with the effect of either creating or destroying health.
