The Business Expansion Series or Managing Your Business Expansion
Lighthouse is a business incubator, we support companies to grow through our advice, mentoring, referrals and events.
We have partnered with a the major accounting and financial services firm, Ernst and Young to deliver an event for the local business community on how to best manage the challenges that often occur during periods of rapid expansion.
2010 will be our third year delivering this event. We would like to present a succinct brand identity that we can launch this year to use on publicity for the event. This identity will form the basis of a web design brief at some point in the future.
The overall title is --The Business Expansion Series. This year's topic is on Corporate Resilience. We will change the topic each year, but the theme of Business Expansion will remain the same. Therefore the brand/logo/representation should not be tethered to a particular theme.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
CEO and managing directors of established companies who are looking for an opportunity to hear directly from his/her peers and highly experienced subject matter experts about business challenges (raising money, keeping customers happy, managing employees, managing systems and procedures). These individuals are constantly seeking improvement and are willing to 'stretch' beyond their comfort zones.
Looking for an image that suggests growth, strengthening, cultivating. In the first year, we used a stock image of a germinating seed. This doesn't quite work in terms of a analogy because the companies we are targeting are not seeds--they are established, but growing so quickly that a leader in that organisation can be easily overwhelmed.
