We are a large non-denominational church in a small town. We are very active in our community and are wanting to make our presence even more recognizable through branding the "G" of our name.
What's your vision?
I am wanting to use this brand logo anywhere our name is displayed in the community. Billboards, magazines, advertising for community events, and guerilla marketing opportunities (like making the brand logo a sticker and canvasing an event). I was thinking about making the logo square and 2-tone. I was even considering possibly changing the 2 tones for different departments (so the main one would be blue on blue, our youth could be green on green, men could be red on red, etc). My only requirements is that the logo only have a G. I believe that the font that a company uses for a logo often times becomes the font a company uses for everything, so I want the font family to be large. I'm not gonna require a serif or a sans-serif. But I want the logo to be classic, not trendy, but as modern as that classic look can feel. I think that a logo piece of this simplicity is very easy to design it very average, so please feel free to be creative. I'm attaching a rough mockup I just did for a reference as well as our company logo. I initially wanted this designed to go on a billboard we are creating. It's still in the concept stagy, but you can see where we have the title "Grace Church", that the brand logo would go there.
I want this brand logo to be instantly recognizable, so I am open to bold designs! I am hoping that this logo, over time, is memorable and synonymous with our organization.
