Design Productive IPhone App Icon! with potential for more..

We are a start up and this is our first iphone app. We had a good idea and we executed! Be part of this exciting journey by providing us your best designs!

The primary target is female users aged 16-45 who are big shoppers. The secondary audience is male users in the same age group – so bear that in mind while designing the app icon.

This project is to design THE app icon for an iphone app. We will evaluate the designs and then offer the winner the job of designing the rest of the icons for this app in the style/theme that you designed. So, if you submit a design for the app icon, you could have the opportunity of creating 10 icons, 2 background themes, and 1 splash screen in the theme that you designed the app icon. The iphone app we built is a shopping app in the category productivity. The app makes shopping (groceries, appliances, books, apparel etc.,), inventorying purchases and getting alerts (for medicines, warranties etc.,) about your purchases very easy; the app uses bar code scanning technology to enable ease of shopping. For this project, you will design the primary app icon. The app icon should succinctly communicate the various facets of the app and entice primary and secondary target audience to purchase it from the Apple App Store. Couple of styles we interested in seeing designs in are - Retro and Contemporary. Icons in other styles are also welcome - we are looking for something that will stand out from the rest, attractive and noticeable. Bold and fun ideas are also welcome.
