For simplewebservices.org we want an icon that will represent RESTful web services. It should be reminiscent of the standard RSS icon but it should not be able to be confused with RSS.
What's your vision?
Accepted File Formats: .ico, .png, .svg For http://simplewebservices.org we want an icon that will represent RESTful web services. It should be reminiscent of the standard RSS icon but it should not be able to be confused with RSS and nor should it be orange. See http://www.feedicons.com/ The visual impression should convey a sense of 'linkage' - as in the hyperlink on a web page. How you achieve that sense is up to your creativity, we do not wish to be prescriptive in the brief. It is intended that the icon will be free for use by anyone implementing our protocols and so may end up widely used across the web. This may be your opportunity to create something widely recognised - good luck! The icon should be produced with the following dimensions and color depths: 16x16 8-bit (256 colors) 16x16 24-bit with 8-bit alpha (32-bit) 24x24 8-bit (256 colors) 24x24 24-bit with 8-bit alpha (32-bit) 32x32 8-bit (256 colors) 32x32 24-bit with 8-bit alpha (32-bit) 48x48 8-bit (256 colors) 48x48 24-bit with 8-bit alpha (32-bit) 96x96 8-bit (256 colors) 96x96 24-bit with 8-bit alpha (32-bit) in the following formats: .ico .png a vector graphic format, such as SVG Note: Payment will be by PayPal only. This is not subject to negotiation. After the end of the contest, there will be a period of assessment by the members of our working group. The contest winner will be announced on Wednesday 27th June.
