As part of our newest marketing efforts the company has decided to focus on social media avenues like Twitter and LinkedIn to strengthen DFS’ online presence. Posts would include cleaning and janitorial related topics, customer service articles, HR and employee relation posts, and general holiday or travel related topics. In order to strengthen our brand on the web, the team would like to create a DFS branded character. We are searching for a digital design/illustration of a character, based on our internal focus group ideas, ultimately in a variety of poses, clothing and facial expressions to be used by the internal marketing team and manipulated for regular posts on Twitter, LinkedIn, the company website, and any future marketing materials. The internal focus group has created the following list of ideas for the design: Robot - friendly - new age - not very mechanical, more cartoon-like character; new - technology driven and ever changing - maybe some body parts change to cleaning equipment (vacuum, caution sign, broom, carpet cleaning machine, etc); like a power ranger or iron man shield with the DFS logo (can be provided) in the middle on the chest that glows; red and silver colors; versions of character in different poses (with an arm up like Vana White, arms on the hips, arm up by the head pointing at the top of his head (like he has a thought), and other poses dressed in clothes like a suit, a janitor's smock, a chemist or doctor's white coat, a safety vest. The purpose is to use this character to brand social media posts about a variety of topics. While we are focused in the janitorial industry, we hope to post messages about HR related topics, safety topics, employee relations, and facility maintenance/management related topics. Feel free to be as creative as you like - we came up with basic ideas and thoughts in a focus group with members from our Executive and Operations teams.
