My business -- Taulli's Taxes -- provides tax preparation services for individuals and small businesses. My site is at http://www.taulli.com and is built on WordPress. I want to keep WordPress since I've already been able to gain links to my blog posts.
I had a logo made up (attached). I want the site to have the same feel/color scheme.
My main goal for the home page is to make it easy for users to know that we provide tax preparation services. So, I want it to be engaging. I was thinking of having different graphics -- like a picture of a 1040 and so on -- with quotes like "what is gross adjusted income?", "am I missing a deduction?", "will the IRS question this?"
I then want the statement: "We make taxes painless. If you want us to prepare your return -- or just have a question -- contact us at 7XX-7XX-7XXX. You can also reach us at Facebook or Twitter."
I was also thinking of having a "Tax Tip" video on the front page (say 1 minute long).
I will also have a place where users can sign up for a free account (username/password login). The benefits include:
* Tax calendar
* Tax tips
* Monthly newsletter
* Tax forms
Then, the tabs on the top of the page would include: Home | How We Help | Testimonials | Blog | Contact.
I also want an well-designed blog, which has social networking features (links to Twitter, Facebook, etc)
