What's your vision?
The 99d team is looking for a series of illustrations for a music festival celebrating 'homegrown' bands and musicians from Australia and New Zealand. The illustrations should feature a plant (either a typical houseplant or a native plant to Australia or NZ) growing out of an object or container that is typically 'Aussie' or 'Kiwi'. For example, ideas could include: - a houseplant like a monstera or fiddle leaf growing out of a Vegemite jar - a trailing plant like ivy winding around flip flops - eucalyptus branches in a Bundaberg bottle or beer can - a succulent in a Keep Cup or takeaway coffee cup - something leafy sprouting out of a tractor tyre or Blundstone boot - a house plant growing in a Milo tin or red paw paw ointment jar - a miscellaneous fern shoot coming out of an L&P can.. you get the idea! We are open to a variety of styles, from line drawings to more expressive hand painted illustration, and monochrome to multi-coloured - what is important that the look and vibe needs to feel like it would belong on a festival poster or tee (various examples of festival posters attached as references).
Here is a Pinterest board to inspire some ideas: https://www.pinterest.com.au/caitlincollins99/homegrown/ We've also attached some reference images, including the logo/creative direction of the festival (https://www.instagram.com/isolaidfestival), but we're excited to see your own creativity and style come through in your illustrations! Please note you should NOT use the logo in your design. The illustrations are likely to be used on posters and merch (e.g. t-shirts).
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Illustration or graphics starts at £279.
