To make this clear we have added a doodle (Xmas Doodle 2016.pdf) of what illustration we want. What we would like designers to do is submit a copy of their work that they feel the style best suits the project and the doodle.
Project: Advent Calendar
Every year for the last ten years we produce a chocolate advent calendar. It is something clients look forward to because the chocolate is nice and reminds them Christmas is close! An advent calendar has little doors with pieces of chocolate candy behind each door, see template.
Our thoughts; As we provide an advertising and creative design service to the Premier League, The FA and EFL, and all the professional football clubs we want the theme to be football related in some way, and include Christmas in the most appropriate way for the design. We also utilise the design where we can for part of our email signature during December.
I have attached a copy of last years advent calendar as a pdf so you can see our approach and what we did. The final design featured a dressing room with a kit line-up mimicking the 12 days of Christmas theme, we continued this for 12 different email graphics in the run-up to Christmas Day.
We also continued this for Happy New Year as well.
The new design needs to be creative and interesting and if based around cartoon characters then amusing.
One other thought we had was based around how many players have Christmas names e.g. Santa, Cracker, Pudding, Tinsel, Decoration, Ornament, Fairy, Rudolph, Present etc we will use the back of the advent calendar to highlight our company. The front will feature your design.
Our suggestion shows a series of cartoon characters on a pitch playing, scoring etc e.g. Santa in goal, Rudolph having a shot, crowd could be more Santas. You could have a fourth official holding up the additional time board saying merry christmas instead of number of additional minutes, or merry christmas could be the message on a big scoreboard.
I’m rattling on… over to you. Project is time sensitive looking to be completed ideally by the end of the weekend
