Story to tell in the infographic
An infographic which shows the many options when it comes to saving energy within the home. Be creative as you like but try to include the company colours of white orange and yellow to be in keeping. I have attached a picture of their business card which is the inspiration for the design.
Data to include in the infographic
Creating an Economically Friendly Home for Life With technology coming on in leaps and bounds each year, prices are coming down dramatically for a whole host of sustainable energy solutions for your home. No matter how big or small the changes are that you make, you will be contributing to a better future for your family as well as the planet. Why not try some of these options to make the change for life? Solar Panels • By using photovoltaic (PV) panels, energy from the Sun is converted into electricity • Save an average of £150 on bills each year • Earn £650 a year for the energy produced from your panels Solar Hot Water System • 60-70% of the energy needed to heat your hot water can be provided from the Sun • Could save £200 a year on gas energy bills Wind Turbines • The power of the wind pushes the large blades. These drive a turbine which creates electricity • A well-sited 6kW turbine can produce up to 10,000kWh (around 5.2 tonnes of Co2) per year • There is the potential for nearly 2 million tonnes of Co2 savings from domestic small scale turbines • If you live in Scotland you have the highest potential for generating more energy from a wind turbine Heat Pumps • Both ground (GSHP) and air source heat pumps (ASHP) are available • Can be used for central heating or hot water • Earn 7.3p/kWh from an air source heat pump and 18.8p/kWh from a ground source heat pump • ASHP can get heat from the air in temperatures as low as -15ºC Bathroom Accessories • Using a water-efficient showerhead can save up to 74% of the water used with a standard showerhead • Water-efficient showerheads could save you up to £165 a year • Buy a shower timer as being in the shower for 5 minutes uses about 60 litres of water Lightbulbs • Replacing just one light bulb with an energy saving light bulb can save you around £3 a year • Swapping all your light bulbs could save you £55 a year • Approximately 650 million inefficient light bulbs in UK homes Loft Insulation • Could save you £180 a year • Takes 2 years to pay for itself • Saves around 730kg of Co2 per year • Effective for at least 40 years This infographic was brought to you by SolarTech Ltd. Elements to include in the infographic
We would like the infographic to be focused around a house which has both outside and inside aspects. The house should be as if all the elements are installed that are listed. Can each bullet point please be in a separate bubble.
