The Dutch Specialty Store
Food & Drink
We offer a variety of high quality Dutch specialty treats, foods, and gifts all hand-crafted and made by Dutch artisans. We sell many traditional Dutch items including cheeses, sprinkles, tulips, etc.
For us, the Dutch windmill is the most iconic figure that is easily recognizable by non-Dutch customers. The traditional Dutch windmill needs to be the centerpiece, which is then supported by other elements. The name "Winkel" is store in Dutch, so the company name "The Dutch Winkel" actually translates to "The Dutch Store". The two most notable colors of Holland come from the iconic "Delft Blue" work and yellow from the variety of cheeses and tulips that are spread throughout the country. We would like the blue and yellow to be the two primary colors. In the image I provided below, we envision the windmill being the main icon and at the bottom front of it, would be a store front attached to the windmill (it is very common to have windmills built on top of homes, but here instead we would do a storefront). The company name would then run under the logo. We want to be able to use the logo name and logo icon separately, as we will need only the logo name for documents at times, and only the logo icon for packaging at times, so they should work well together and separate. PLEASE NOTE: We have included a tagline "The Dutch Specialty Store" for consideration, but the most important part of the logo is the company name "The Dutch Winkel" and the logo icon/emblem. PLEASE NOTE: The company was established in 2020 -- if you think you can work in "EST. 2020" in a clean way, please feel free to do so. PLEASE NOTE: If you think the name "Dutch Winkel" would be better incorporated as an emblem with the logo name embedded into the logo itself rather than separated below, we are very open to that idea.
