Die Firmenname und der Name des Softwareprodukts V.Lab Alpha baut sich aus dem Namen Vert.x und Labor Alpha auf. Die Anwendung ist ein Editor in dem die Standards definiert werden können, an dem sich jeder Mikroservice einer Cloud Anwendung halten muss. Somit wird den DevOps Teams / Softwareentwickler und IT Operation Teams eine bessere und eine verständliche Zusammenarbeit erleichtert. In der Anwendung wird grafisch die Infrastruktur aufgezeichnet in dem die Standart festgelegt werden können (z.B. Art der Kommunikation zwischen Mikroservices). Die Zielgruppe der Anwendung sind daher DevOps Teams (Softwareentwickler, Software Architekten, Serviceplaner, Operations), die in aufgeteilten Teams eine komplexe Cloud Anwendung entwickeln wollen.
