Ñañel is an absolute dream designer to work with!! She's extremely talented, efficient and responsive. Her designs were continually fresh and unique throughout the contest... each one better than the last. From start to finish, she provided a professional design experience far beyond what I had imagined. I feel so very blessed she chose to join our design project. And so y'all know, she loves dogs :)
How Feline Behavior Investigators started their logo & business card journey
Who are you known as?
Feline Behavior Investigators
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I figure out why someone's cat is displaying an unwanted behavior, educate the guardians on why the cat is doing it, and let them know what they need to change about their own behavior and the environment to get the cat to act appropriately (sort of like Jackson Galaxy from "My Cat from Hell”). I use evidence and research-based solutions. My education is in psychology and teaching, so they fit pretty well into this business. My target audience is affluent cat guardians.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Animal & Pet
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I don’t like pastels.

I like that this is simple and yet implies more complexity.
It's playful, which I like.
I like that it's quirky.
I like the incorporation of the tail curl into the text; makes it cohesive.
Not sure why, but I was drawn to the this one.
Way too feminine for me, but I like the colors

I'm going with a detective theme for my business, and I'd like to incorporate something cat-related somewhere in the logo (could be a silhouette, paw prints, cat eye with magnifying glass, or something else; since I’m improving behavior, I’d like the feel to be positive and the body language to reflect that; no angry cats please). I'd like to imply the acronym (but it should not be overly explicit because of possible legal issues with that acronym; cannot say FBI!). I'm hoping for something whimsical that still shows it's a legit business. I'd like to be able to use the logo on my website.
This is a woman-owned business; it’d be nice if the logo didn’t immediately invoke the image of an older man so my clients aren’t surprised when I show up! I love the look of my Siamese/colorpoint shorthair cats, and we share blue eyes, which could be an idea.
So far I’ve liked designs that don’t emphasize the word “Feline” over everything else; some of these cards will likely be out in vet offices, which have a lot of Feline-related services advertised.
