Sreenam designed a logo for our start-up. He responded to messages promptly, acted on our feedback, and delivered a clever and creative final logo.
How dianne strang started their logo design journey
btmr - back to my roots
Dianne and Amber are a mother and daughter research team who are bringing a more modern, vibrant and personal approach to tracing your ancestors. We look at all the angles to help bring their stories to life - what was life really like for Grandpa in the trenches? What did my ancestor go to prison for ( do you REALLY want to know?). We also help international departments, historians and writers find new facts for their upcoming films, books and lectures etc.
We are not 'anoracky' in any way but professional and dynamic and our aim is to engage a younger generation in their past. Can you help us with a neat logo?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We need to wear several hats here. There is no doubt that a lot of people engaged in research are retired and doing it for fun but we know more and more young people who would love to know more about their background or would like to give a family tree as a present to a relative so we need to attract them too.
Nice and simple.
We'd like a tree logo with roots and our 'btmr' lettering. I thought that the trunk of the tree could be formed from the upright of the 't' in our 'btmr'. Underneath we would need to have the words 'back to my roots...' as our btmr is not a brand name - YET!
Nice natural colours - blue sky, green leaves, brown wood etc and I suppose black lettering.
Simple, neat and memorable would be the ideal.
I've drawn a very rough sketch of the initial concept which I will attach. Don't laugh at it!
