We are Andre's Pizza in Hollywood, California RIGHT ON Hollywood Blvd on the Walk of Fame. We're literally a block away from world-famous theaters like the Academy Award's Kodak, Mann's Chinese, and Disney's El Capitan.
We are a family-owned and operated pizza and Italian joint that has served Hollywood with quality New York Style pizza (many native New Yorkers have visited and commented that our pizza's even better than New York's!!), Italian hoagies, burgers, and pastas since 1978 and we're still going strong! Our dining hall seats about 30-40 and we also deliver both by car and bicycle whenever possible.
We have the unique opportunity to serve many different types of markets being on Hollywood Blvd in the physical heart of the entertainment world. For now, our primary market consists of tourists both foreign and domestic, employees of local offices and businesses, and local residents.
Tourists come in at all times of the day and usually consist of families with kids, couples and/or tour groups. Local employees usually come in mostly during the day, by themselves or with their coworkers, and are usually young adult to middle-aged. And our local residents who are usually regulars make up most of our delivery and pick-up business. These are usually single people living in the many apartments in the Hollywood area.
We are planning to expand in the near future so our target market might adjust a little depending on locations, but our main aim will probably still be the single young to middle-aged adults and families or groups. We may also be offering catering to larger parties in the near future.
-Clean, bold, not cartoony.
-Established, permanent, professional, but gets you thinking about just good ol' yummy food.
-"New York Style" can be used
-"Established 1978" or "Since 1978" or thereabouts can be used
-PIZZA needs to be incorporated somehow because our New York pizza is where it's at!
-Don't stress HOLLYWOOD too much IF AT ALL! We are going to expand and not every location will be in Hollywood.
-Not TOO typical, with obvious photoshop tool use.
-Not TOO trendy like we're behind and chasing the bandwagon.
BACKGROUND NOTE: Until recently, we have neglected the marketing department from the attention it deserves. Hollywood has recently been aggressively re-modernizing, and we want to stay somewhat current. While we don't need nor want to transform into something we're not, we want to maintain a sense of PERMANENCE and HISTORY and also a sense of CLEANLINESS and WELCOME as our restaurant already is!
Revamping the dining hall and the kitchen goes hand-in-hand with image and logo. We want to convey the awesomeness our food really is. We don't believe in silly gimmicks or have a lot of capital to go all out on marketing/advertising, but we do have great food, great people, and great work ethic. Our logo should, if possible, give off that image.
