Sander needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 56 designs submitted by 24 freelance designers.
We sell an application much like Basecamp (project management tool) called TaskManager. The logo is for this application.
We expect about 40% end clients and 60% software developers coming to our site. As a result of that the logo needs to be immediately clear to a wide audience. Audience is computer literate.
Logo look and feel
Check the website layout:
(Choose Lightgreen as color, see attachment)
Keep it simple and clean. Viewers of the logo should understand through the visual that our software manages tasks that can be marked as completed.
The "tick" or "checked" sign is too often used in logos for this kind of software so if you can come up with something more original: extra points.
However, in the end the best execution wins.
Highly important: the name (TaskManager) should be the most important part of the logo and should be readable well at different sizes.
