How Priorwendy started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
The Wise Girlfriend
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The Wise Girlfriend is the title of my book series, blog and podcast. It is my content platform which I intend to grow into an international brand. I have a linked site that acts as a brochure for my personal change consultancy work at http://www.wendyprior.com This site will notify people that I post content at The Wise Girlfriend, so the brands need to resonate with each other.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I have an orange logo which can be seen at http://www.wendyprior.com
I like that colour, so if orange is used in this design, this is what to match it to
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
I have a sense that the logo should be a sophistacted cartoon of a woman, perhaps middle aged, perhaps with a bob hairstyle, perhaps with glasses and encapsulating a sense of fun, wisdom and style. (see the cover of the book 'The smart girls guide to getting what you want' by Mary Hartley to get a sense of what I mean. There is also 'the surrendered single' by Laura Doyle and 'skinny bitch' by Freedman and Barnouin that are cartoon based). My book series is a series of 'how to' guides to support women to make the change they desire in life. The Wise Girlfriend brand/concept represents the feeling of trust and love you experience when you need help from a wise friend who gets you, always has a great new insight or perspective on your problem and always knows just what to say! My consultancy logo is shown below. If orange is used in this logo design, this is the shade to go for. I was wondering if the spiral design might be incorporated into the wise girlfriend logo in some way - maybe as part of the dress, hair, glasses or something: that would be super clever if it works, but I'm not hung up on this detail: The Wise Girlfriend logo must be strong and definitive in its own right first and foremost, but in line with my existing personal brand (which you can get a sense of from my website http://www.wendyprior.com) I can't wait to see what you come up with :)
