Connexion 2009 - Family Services of the North Shore
The theme for the event is latin and it will have an acoustic, vibey feel- colors should be mostly black and white and and logo colors (a mango and deep pink -see site link) - event colors will be hot pink, red, orange mango etc- all very warm and rich - not gawdy. The event itself has a high level of quality- all food is from Vancouver's top chefs and wines are all top shelf - everyone is donating their time and materials so there is a really nice spirit about the event. You will find all the infomation you need on the FSNS website - use this link for a copy of the invite and sponsorship package.
The audience for this event is quite upscale and in most cases quite sophisticated- again, PLEASE SEE LINK FOR FULL INVITE VS JUST ATTACHED FILES!

We need to create an event logo for this unique, upscale event - it will be used on event visuals during the evening (multimedia included and on the USB which will be sent to guests as a thankyou (will feature event photos and sponsor info etc). Likewise we'll use it for staff t-shirts.
This logo should in some way include the clematis flower that is in our invite package but it doesnt necessarily need to be in your face- it could just be there somewhere worked into another design. The pink and orange can get quite gawdy quickly so be sparing and deliberate in how and where you use it so it doesnt get "cheap" looking- keep it clean - I dont mind if the shirt is black or white- I will defer to design and how it will look best. You can also use the nautilus of words "our hope, our future, our families" etc etc at the end of the invite as well if you like - would be great if it played on our logo with the dots - (the idea of our logo is that the dots represent the community and we are the "heart" of the community in the middle.) I will put up a JPEG of the flower and anything else you would like- it should be up by this afternoon- email me if you need anything else.Finally- if possible I would like this to have a latin feel- think sultry!
THE ORIGINAL IDEA WAS TO HAVE THE INVITE HAVE A WOMAN DONE IN A CHARCOAL KIND OF FEEL - IT WAS JUST THE BACK OF HER AND I MENTIONED THIS PREVIOUSLY BUT i DONT THINK I COMMUNICATED THAT WELL BECAUSE SHE SEEMS TO HAVE MORPHED INTO A WOMANS FACE OR JUST A HEAD SHOT WHICH HAS GOTTEN AWAY FROM THE INTENTION COMPLETELY (THE BACK OF A WOMAN WHICH WAS JUST TO SHOW THE TATTOO WHICH HAD THE LOGO AND THE OUTFIT SHOWED THE ATTIRE OF THE EVENING.)
SO- THE WOMAN WE HAD IN MIND WAS WEARING A SKIRT THAT HAD A SLIT UP THE LEG WITH A GLADIATOR TYPE SHOE- LIGHTLY STRAPPED AND NO HEEL- SHE LOOKED LIKE SHE JUST WALKED OFF THE BEACH....IN MONACO. IN OTHER WORDS- SHE'S SOPHISTICATED. i CREATED THE FLOWER TO TUCK OUR HEART INTO AND USE AS A TATTOO ON HER LEG OR SHOULDER. IN THE PICTURE YOU COULD NOT SEE HER FACE JUST EH BACK OF HER FULL BODIED HEAD OF HAIR THAT HAD LOTS OF MOVEMENT. HOPE THIS HELPS- I DIDNT GET HER DONE FOR THIS YEAR SO I WILL WORK ON HER FOR NEXT YEARS INVITE! HERE IS THE INVITE LINK BELOW
the flower doesnt have to be the center of design- it can be a part of something- originally I had a black and white charcoal sketch of a woman dressed in a skirt that wrapped up and the slit came up her leg like if she was coming off the beach only dressier- I put a wrap shoe on her that strapped up the leg - and then had a small heart on her ankle as a tattoo- I also put the flower with the heart on her as a tattoo- the woman was indirect- it was her back and her hair and she was in motion but you couldnt see her fact- it was sexy but simple and sophisticated- this could be as simple as a white shirt with a black and white picture and the tattoo could be in color....
