Christenings.co will be a community website for people to get all the essentials for christenings and learn about planning a christening. There will be information about the cultural significances/etiquette/what happens at christenings as well as gift ideas.
We are targetting both families having christenings and those guests who are attending christenings and are unsure what will happen at the christening.
We would like a modern logo for our new website. The color palette should be simple, with a maximum of three colours. We like classic combinations of colours but want to give the logo a modern 'twist'. As people often give gold and silver items for christenings, we like the idea of having gold or silver in the logo but if you don't think this fits in, leave it.
We do not want something too old-fashioned, but at the same time we want that same idea of perceived expense in the logo, something distinctive looking and a bit grand. It seems that a lot of the sites selling things for christenings have logos that look like bows or are appealing to a much older audience. An additional design element would be good(perhaps a drop of water?), but no babies or crosses please! We appreciate that a christening is a religious occasion but we would prefer not to have a cross in the logo. We don't want any extra design elements to be made of clip-art or too cartoonish.
A font we quite like is:http://www.dafont.com/orial.font but you don't have to use this font.
Because we are using the brand new .CO extension, we would like people to know this is .CO, so don't hide the extension.
