The Alchemist's Distillery story:
The Alchemist is a scientist and experimenter at heart. Everyone loves the big beautiful copper stills, recipes and methods that are unchanged and can be traced back to great great grandparents and ageing for 18 years before it's at its best. The Alchemist thinks there's room for modern technology to improve an age-old tradition. Just like in the modernist cuisine movement the Alchemist uses a few tools normally found in the lab to make the best spirits possible. Instead of a big copper still unchanged in 100 years, the Alchemist has vacuum stills, stainless carter heads, ultrasonic baths, UV lights, distressed wood ageing, continuous and glass plated stills, enzymes, ozone and even a dunder pit that one step away from becoming sentient. Every bottle the Alchemist creates probably has 100 different experiments some of them failures, many blending experiments, blind taste test and a complete disregard for tradition, all done in the pursuit of creating the best drop possible.
The target audience is the primarily the millennials market, someone that is willing to try something new instead of reaching for the some brand each time. They probably already a regular craft beer drinker and have tried craft spirits before. They also someone that willing to pay a premium price for a premium craft/artisans price.
