brendan.gillam got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a Logo for Filament Coffee

Food & Drink
We sell coffee to cafes to on sell and to coffee lovers directly.
Other color requirements
At this stage of the design process we would like our logo to be produced in black and white only, this will ensure we are not relying on colour for its effect. Later in the process we would like to bring in colour, however this would be limited to one or two tone only. Part of our vision is to be different, therefore traditional colours associated with coffee businesses, eg browns, creams, yellows are likely to be avoided. Happy for designers to make suggestions on colour (if you would like).
Refer to sketch attached - Based on our name, Filament Coffee, the sketch shows 2 hands around a cup as the screw cap for a light bulb, with the steam from the cup forming the glass of the globe and a coffee bean filament.
