Abacus is primarily a wholesale coffee company based in Chicago with the intention of adding retail as soon as we are capable of expansion. We're focusing on specialty grade, direct trade, single origin coffee, particularly from countries that have often been overlooked or underutilized in terms of production. Our target audience consists of environmentally conscious, young professionals (ages 25-40) with a taste for freshly roasted coffee.
Logo types to explore
We'd like to convey a modern, sleek, simplistic look with the font with the possibility of maintaining some connection to the antiquity associated with an abacus (ancient calculating tool). We're open to color scheme but we have a preference for 2 or fewer colors and matte black. An actual abacus does not have to be used in our emblem if it compromises our modern, minimalist design. Finally, we'd like some with just "abacus" and some with "abacus coffee roasters."
