I am open to seeing designs incorporating just my initials (CDS) or the full name. I'd also like the logo to work well for labels on home decor items, such as pillows, as well as handbags and scarves. I have a small red label that I use on all my products with white font with my initials.
I also really like the idea of an abstract logo image (maybe made from my initials, or something that speaks to the hand-drawn designs I create for my fabrics). I love the gemstone emblem in the Britt Bass Turner logo example because it is simple and modern but still has a loose feel to it. Don't use a gemstone necessarily--I just like the feel of that logo.
My full business name is Casey D. Sibley Art + Design. But I think for the logo, I want to drop the "art + design" and keep it simple.
I use the font Roboto Slab for most of my branding and website content, which I really like--but I do not necessarily want that font in the design, just something that will compliment it, like a sans serif font.
NOTE: I do NOT like scrolls or "leafy" floral imagery in the logos. I want something modern that appeals to a feminine eye.
And I have a graphic that I call "Speckle" (shown in the third existing logo example I provided) that I use in a lot of my branding and packaging.
