Design a logo for a charter fishing business that is bold, adventurous, and captures our tradition

We’re a family owned and operated Charter Fishing company based on the New Hampshire Seacoast. As we are third, fourth, and fifth generation New England fisherman, we use our expertise/knowledge and take small groups/individuals/families on an unforgettable deep-sea fishing adventure aboard our fishing vessel. While our primary focus is charter fishing trips, we can also accommodate cruises, scuba-diving, snorkeling, and other water based activities.

A lot of charter/sport fishing services have logos that look it belongs on a Guy Harvey tee shirt. We don’t want something that looks anything like Guy Harvey painted it. Another thing we see among charter/sport fishing logos that we don’t like is a Miami vice type look, or something you would see on a Tommy Bahama tee shirt. We don’t have a preference on complex or simple, but something in the middle or leaning slightly towards simple (but again, we could go either way). Our logo should be something that conjures up feelings up tradition, adventure, and deep-sea fishing. We’re a younger group so we don’t want something boring, it needs to have style and appeal, but it also needs to be classy. As our target audience are mostly males the logo should be more masculine but not something that’s too over the top. Our logo should have a nautical feel to it. Any kind of imagery related fish (Blue Fin Tuna/Codfish/Striped Bass) or fishing (rods, reels, harpoons, our boat) could also be included but, again, we’re not looking for a Guy Harvey tee shirt per say. We would like a badge style logo, something that looks good on a website, but also something that will look good and is easily transferrable to stickers or tee shirts.
