How Nafi2 started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Explorer, Compass (please note that the Explorer logo is for the hardware, Compass is for the software; it should be two complementary logos).
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Ripple Neuro makes devices for neuroscience research, as well as devices used by neurologist and neurosurgeons. This device is for electroencephalography (EEG), that is used for basic neuroscience, as well as for diagnosing and treating some disorders, such as epilepsy.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Medical & Pharmaceutical
What colors do you want to see in your design?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
The name of the company is Ripple Neuro, and we had previously developed a series of processors for animal research that we called the “Grapevine” line of processors (an example of one of the processor names is the Nomad). The Grapevine processors are controlled by a software package that we call Trellis. I am including examples of our company logo, as well as logos for the Grapevine processor line and Trellis software. We are now developing a line of products for human research and clinical use, which we are calling Explorer, which will run Compass software (the first processor will be called the Quest). What we need is a logo for Explorer, as well as for Compass.
The Explorer and Compass logos will be of course used with our company logo in all marketing materials, and so should be complementary. Our company logo colors are white, black, blue and gray, and we currently use Oswald, Source Sans Pro, and Fute fonts (I also included our style guide with the exact color values and font usage guidelines). The colors should be different from the company logo colors, but preferably be complementary (and the colors should be suitable for a medical product). It would be good if we can use the same fonts, but if there is good reason to use different fonts that is fine. The Explorer line of processors will often times be displayed along side Grapevine processors at conferences and tradeshows, so it is also preferable that those designs do not clash.
