We sell laboratory supplies & equipment to the asphalt, concrete, aggregate and soil testing industry. Mostly we sell to the laboratories owned by aggregate suppliers, asphalt or concrete manufacturers.

UPDATE: After seeing a lot of the submissions, I'm developing a better sense for what we're looking for. I desire more of an emblem style logo. Specifically, I like brewery logos with and without distressing/weathering. I've included some examples (The Old Ox one is an example of the distressing I was referring to - I don't like the color). These have a sense of fun about them. We have a male-dominated industry/culture, so I think that will be a good fit.
I don't want to see anymore logos with microscopes or test tubes. We sell to the asphalt and concrete industry and testing those materials doesn't involve either, so it should be more construction-themed with roads or trucks. You can skip the testing part.
They can be in the same color palettes that I picked originally and/or with a distressed wood theme or background.
Also, some of the logos are including our beginning year, but with the wrong year. We opened in 1982.
*** END OF UPDATE ***
We sell to quality control laboratories owned by companies like Vulcan Materials or Old Castle Materials. They make asphalt or concrete and need to test it before and after it's put in place. For a sense of our competition's logos, see HMA Lab Supply, Humboldt Manufacturing, and Gilson Co.
The logo can incorporate laboratory themes, testing themes, asphalt or construction materials themes. I like vintage themes, clean design, but am open to your creativity.
