Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are opening small coffee shop in Moscow. We want to run coffee shop of a new wave with an emphasis on the science behind the perfect cup.
Our principles: high-quality coffee, the best equipment, highly trained barista and hospitable atmosphere.
We are inspired by espresso bars like Prufrock Coffee in London, The Barn in Berlin and Blue Bottle Coffee in New York.
Why did we call our coffee shop 'Introvert'?
Because a third of the population are introverts, but our world is built around extroverts and for extroverts and many people do not understand what introversion is. It's different from being shy. Shyness is about fear of social judgment. Introversion is more about how to do you respond to stimulation, including social stimulation. So extroverts are really crave large amounts of stimulation, although introverts feel at their most alive and their most switched-on and their most capable when they're in quieter, more low-key environments. So the key then to maximizing our talents is for us all. But now here's where the bias comes in. Our most important institutions, our schools and our workplaces, they are designed mainly for extroverts. Now, most of us work in open plan offices, without walls, where we are subject to the constant noise and gaze of our coworkers.
We run our coffee shop in the business area and we want to create a space where we can unplug from the outside world and get inside our own heads.
We are believing that our attitudes to introversion and to quiet and to solitude, we are truly on the brink of dramatic change.
