A Forever Home Rescue Foundation (AFH or A Forever Home)
We're an all volunteer 501c3 non-profit, all breed dog rescue located in Northern Virginia. We started as a small group but our numbers have grown to 1600 volunteers. We have had the current logo since our inception, so we would like to update our image to reflect the maturing of our group and need your help to freshen it up and bring it up to speed in 2010.
We are looking for a simple, clean, and sophisticated look. Since the name of our organization, A Forever Home, can be mistaken as a home builder, realty group, or housing related organization, we want to make it clear that we are a dog rescue.
Our target audience is, of course, potential adopters in the Washington DC Metro area. However, we also want to attract support in the form of sponsorship and donations from businesses and the local community. Since we also deal with other animal related issues like shutting down hoarders and puppy mills, we are often given spots on TV and other media outlets.
Our logo needs to be flexible enough that it can be used on banners, varying printable material, T-Shirts, our Vehicles, and Website. We are completely open to color schemes or even single colors. We do not need it to have a house in the design but want the logo to give the viewer a warm, homey feeling or a happy feeling. Most of all, we want to stay away from a cartoon like logo, which is what our previous logo was like. Also no cats, please--we love them but that is not our bag.
Also, we need the winner to provide the file in a vector format, preferably in .ai format.
