We need an updated logo for our east coast (usa) regional Christian church association.
East Coast Conference
What's your vision?
We need an updated logo for our east coast (usa) regional association - our name is East Coast Conference, and our new slogan centers in the word "MOVE". We say we are "a movement of God"; we'll use the word MOVE as an acronym for four key aspects of our mission. I'm looking for a logo that would speak to east coast people - maybe a nautical motif like a racing sailboat bending in the wind, showing it moving briskly under the force of the wind. Putting a cross on the sail might be a good addition, as well as some way of showing an urban skyline. We work in 12 east coast states from Virginia to Maine. Our existing logo is a colonial church steeple with a cross on top (you can find it at www.eastcoastconf.org); we want something that speaks both to non-church participants as well as something that would connect with people who already belong to a congregation. It will be used on our website, business cards, stationery, brochures; we need something that works both in color and in a black and white print setting. We're an affiliate of the Evangelical Covenant Church - they have a logo you can find at www.covchurch.org - it looks like four people facing each other. We may want to include that somehow in our design. The contest ends Friday afternoon, April 18. We'll make a decision about the winning entry on Monday afternoon (EDT) in the US, on April 21.
- Item 1...A classic yet contemporary feel - the word MOVE is key to our future concept - red, yellow, black and white could be integrated into the color scheme in a sailboat (shows multi-cultural identity) - In spite of the complexity described above, I want the logo to be more subtle than dramatic.
- Item 1..
