Cutprice Kidshop
We are a family business with over 20 years of retail experience in the gift industry.
The recent addition of young children to several members of the family has highlighted the need for a fun and exciting, yet value-for-money, chain of kids' stores.
Our aim is to offer a variety of everyday needs items, toys, party accessories, gifts and close-out lines in a bright and enticing store format at a retail price point lower than most of the major deparment stores and specialist childrens' stores. A stable of safe and reliable generic brands intertwined with product from market leaders will underpin the concept.
Newborn to "tween" (13-14 year old) boys and girls
A bright and enticing logo that both appeals to kids (and their parents/carers) and encapsulates the value-for-money offering of the store.
The word "Cutprice" should appear directly above the word "Kidshop".
The logo needs to be bold yet simple and fun without being gaudy.
Our preferred colour theme for at least the "Cutprice" component of the logo is a red background with a simple white font - this will represent the "always on sale" mentality of the product offer. Perhaps this component of the design can be boxed?
There are no restrictions on the "Kidshop" component of the offer and you are free to incorporate simple graphics, characters etc. (if required) to compliment your design. The completed logo must however appeal to both boys and girls so colour selection of text and background needs to reflect this.
There is the possibility of further work (in-store graphics etc.) to the successful designer.
Good luck. Let your creative juices flow...
