Art & Design
**SEE ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MOOD BOARD** Hi, I am beginning a start-up, Cork & Craft Events - Creativity, uncorked. Our mission is to make DIY craft projects accessible in the most fun and interactive way. We host follow-along craft making parties in local restaurants/bars and encourage our guests to order drinks. Our main competitor is Paint Nite. We follow a similar business model but the projects we create are far beyond just painting. We make ugly christmas sweaters, wreaths, objets d'art, pressed flowers or any kind of simple craft from pinterest. The pieces we create are beautiful, modern and relevant, much of what we produce will be home decor pieces. We follow trends and focus on interactivity with our guests to steer our project roster. Drinking is an important part of our business, without the expectation of the guests to purchase alcohol, restaurants would not host us for free. Having said that, crafts need to be represented. Ribbon, pencil, glue, confetti, scissors or some craft item needs to be represented. Our message is "Creativity, Uncorked" We want to convey the message of Arts/Crafts and Wine. Our logo should feel fun, festive and modern, the Ampersand could be used to show artists tools or show wine and craft supplies. I like the idea of pink, purple, mint, gold or peach and a feminine feel to our branding. It should give the expectation of a party but with a curated dignity. This brand should not be hokey, kitch or cheesy. Elegance, Crafts and Drinking or "night time event" should come to mind. I am also a fan of embellishments like sequins or confetti. Our market is 90% female between 21-60, we will do a lot of bridal party events, birthday groups and meetup events.

Carola was wonderful to work with. She designed a logo for us and we hired her again to create a branding package. I would recommended her to anyone looking for an experience designer who is easy to work with. Thank you, Carola! We'll definitely use you again.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
