How bandjonetwork started their logo design journey
B's Gym Fitness USA
We are a private training and fitness classes facility. People come to us wanting to go from out of shape couch potato to a fit, strong and capable person. We also have a contingent of clients who are athletes who use our training to better their sport performance. Our business focuses on small group classes, with everyone in the gym getting to know each other and support our individual fitness goals. We use barbell weights, kettle bells, medicine balls, a lot of body weight movements like pushups/pullups/situps, rope climbing, rowing, running... no two workouts look the same.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We have two types of people looking at our gym. The first is the athlete, most likely looking for a place that will give a strong, hard workout with proven results. The second, and MOST important type of client for us is the 30-50 year old who is out of shape or only into some light recreational fitness (ie jogging or biking a bit, playing on a softball team at work) and wants to evolve into the best shape of their life. They are looking for an approachable program, interesting workouts and supportive atmosphere. Both are seeking high quality personal attention from the coaching staff.
We are looking for a logo that will look great on t-shirts and business cards. Single or multiple colors are fine. The most important thing is to bridge the gap between the two client bases described above. We are interested in a logo that includes a bee (a play on the owner/head coach's name, B) this is a strong desire, but we are open to seeing other ideas as well. The overall look should be strong and brand-able. The logo must be editable in either PS or Illustrator, with layers so that the background and wording is easily altered for different surfaces.
