Check out CampusExchange's Logo design contest…
We need a fun and creative design for our website, CampusExchange.com. Campus exchange is a marketplace for college students to buy/sell/trade goods to one another. $100 Bonus for exceptional work!
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: Any Color scheme Desired Style: creative, artistic, collegiate inspired, web 2.0 (but not too corporate) Accepted File Formats: Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Layered Formats (.psd or .tiff) Website Summary: CampusExchange is a virtual marketplace for student to student transactions. The website offers users a variety of ways to buy/sell/trade goods with other students at their campus. CampusExchange.com is similar to http://www.USwap.com. However, in addition to student to student direct sales- we offer: auctions, trades, a classified section, a campus calendar, and a discussion board. Design Summary: The website and logo for CampusExchange.com should follow a collegiate theme, but still needs to maintain the clean look and feel of modern web 2.0 design. The design should be well organized like other e-commerce websites, but the color-scheme and style should be fun, playful, and include school-influenced graphics (examples: bulletin board and pins, marker/highlighter, books, backpack, post-it notes, etc.)  Logo Design Specifics: Must include “CampusExchange†in the logo. You can add a tagline if you want, but it is not required. Graphic icons are welcome, but not required. Make the logo look professional, but not too corporate. If you can adopt some sort of collegiate or scholastic theme, that would be great. Color scheme is up to the designer. Website Design Specifics: We would like you to come up with the basic design for our website and if selected, we will fill you in with details so that it may be completely customized. The following is recommended for the homepage:  - Custom header with logo, navigation menu, and log-in section  - Include “for the University of Arizona†and/or the U of A’s logo somewhere in the header but not as the focus- maybe in the right-hand corner. Reason: We will be customizing these for each university. - Somehow incorporate each of the main features of the website (auctions, classifieds, etc, as small sections on the homepage that link to the full section when selected. - Calendar at the bottom of the page with the header “Campus Calendar† - “Marketplace†navigation menu on the left of the screen (sample categories below)  Books (128) Electronics (27)  Furniture (8)  Services (32)  Tickets (4)  Everything Else (55)I like the design and theme of USwap.com, but I think the design is too basic. Design styles and formats that I like include: - I like how modern and organized this site is, especially the navigation and products pages: http://www.uo.com.au/ - I like the creativity of this design: http://www.a-better-tomorrow.com/ We will provide a bonus of $100 for exceptional work. (Only applies to web design). Good luck, ask questions if you have them and we will answer them ASAP. We promise to provide you all with a lot of feedback and we will be checking the project often. We encourage you to be creative. We will accept ALL forms of payment- including western union, paypal, credit card, check, mo, etc. Whatever works best for the designer.
