Medical & Pharmaceutical
We have an app that runs on Android/iPad tablets, and gives the impression of a pet that happens to live behind a pane of glass. You can pet it through the screen, take care of it, and talk with it, very intuitively and naturally, as if you were interacting with the world and the pet through the glass -- there are never any buttons or traditional user interface features. Because it's Internet connected, it even brings photos, news, and other info from the Internet or from family members, like a well-trained dog might. Except this one can hold it up for you to see, or read it out loud. It can talk with its owner about anything, 24/7, intelligently and compassionately, because when required, the conversation is facilitated by real, human helpers. Because of our demonstrated benefits for emotional and mental health, leading medical doctors see us as an alternative to expensive and dangerous psychiatric medications, and a potentially very effective way to combat not only loneliness but also the progression of dementia. We are marketing to senior care facilities and also to consumers for their elderly parents living alone. Please look to our website at http://www.GeriJoy.com for further details. *** IMPORTANT: Our goal with the logo is to capture a happy emotion on a single glance, subtly and simply.
Logo types to explore
Current logo attached. What I like about it is that it captures the essence of what we do: a person is interacting with a pet. Also it elicits a happy feeling because the pet is smiling. Problems with it: People don't always see the "i" as a character. People don't always see the "J" as being separate from the "G". In other words, the text is not very legible. Also, it looks a little too much like a kid made it using MS Paint, so we're looking for something more professional. Moreover, the colors are too stark and harsh, and are the colors of death and blood, which we want to distance ourselves from. The last but very important subtlety is that I'm not sure we want to actually show the pet in the logo, because the form of the pet can change between dogs, cats, flying pigs, little fuzzy balls, anything. If you do include the pet in the logo, it should make sense no matter what form the customer chooses for the pet. Or maybe you just want to choose a dog as the representative animal -- I could consider that if it worked well compared to all the other logos. Be creative.
