Sustaining the Blue Planet: Global Water Education Conference
The Project WET Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reaching children, parents, educators and communities around the world with water education. We are active in all 50 states and in 50+ countries around the world.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Most of the Project WET end users are teachers. However, we are also hoping to attract corporate sponsors and attendees as well as people from government agencies and other nonprofits. Our graphic identity needs to be very professional and understandable to a global audience for this event.
We want a logo that includes a graphical reference to the "Blue Planet", preferably using a realistic-looking depiction of Earth (please see examples) as well as incorporating water. Suspending the Earth within a water drop is one example that has been mentioned repeatedly as being an ideal representation. The logo must also include the name of the conference, "Sustaining the Blue Planet: Global Water Education Conference". In the attached samples, we used the Earth logo to replace the "o" in "global", but we don't require that. We will need final versions in layered Adobe Illustrator and .eps files - please provide both full color and gray scale versions.
DO NOT: create a water drop type character. No animation / cartoony representations of water drops or Earth. Simpler is better!
