Paying homage to the location near the Diamond District, The Heist is the name of the compact lobby bar in the Embassy Suites Midtown Manhattan. It is on the ground floor on 37th street in midtown manhattan and the glass "box" pops out onto the sidwalk giving the space presence on the street. It is meant to allude to its location in the Diamond District without being too literal or too feminine. The signature cocktails are named after the greatest jewel heists in history and will have a feature one each month with a short story behind the heist.
We have partnered with a local distiller and mixologist to come up with the beverage program and we will have signature cocktails, draft beer and wine by the glass. There will be a food menu that is focused on share plates and small plates with an eclectic mix of refined flavors and presentation.
the bar should attract a big afterwork/HH crowd and appeal to the business man and woman.

We want to convey the concept of jewel heists and location in the diamond district but I don't want a literally pile of jewels or strand of diamonds. It should be recognizable if you look at it for a while or know the context but not in your face. Basically there needs to be an abstract take on the theme.
We could also just incorporate the concept of a heist or robbery/burglary. Is there a way to play on the edgy criminal side of the concept and be slightly masculine.
